Эльбрус, конечно, грандиозен, однако окружающие его пространства тоже не менее интересны. Как говорится, «короля делает свита», и в какой-то степени это действительно так, хотя Кавказ как раз и удивителен тем, что здесь нет какой-то одной «самой красивой точки». Или «самого красивого ущелья». Здесь интересно всё. Я не буду утверждать, что это самое красивое место на планете Земля ― для меня вся Земля очень красивая. Но когда наш гид в разговоре употреблял выражения типа, например, «ущелье такое-то очень красивое, можно туда поехать», после перечисления некоторого количества «красивых мест» у нас невольно возник вопрос: а где на Кавказе НЕкрасивые ущелья? Не думаю, что такое можно будет найти.

Кавказ ― это место удивительной силы, поэтому здесь живут в прямом смысле особенные люди. А уж кавказскую кухню я и вовсе считаю не только самой вкусной, но и самой полезной в мире (и даже не думайте спорить с этой сентенцией, ибо среди кавказцев очень много долгожителей, да и вообще очень здоровых людей). Хотя конечно же я понимаю, что понятие «кавказская» кухня очень расплывчато, и у каждого региона есть свои национальные (иногда даже поднациональные) особенности, это разумеется, я ни в коем случае не хочу никого обидеть. Здесь я просто пытаюсь сказать, что это уникальный регион с невероятно позитивной энергетикой (да простят мне материалисты такое выражение).

Ниже представлены фотографии, сделанные на перевале Гум-Баши по дороге из Кисловодска на Домбай в апреле 2015-го. Конечно, в первую очередь мы поразились величию и грандиозности дедушки Эльбруса, но и окружающие долины заслуживают своего собственного внимания. В апреле природа здесь только просыпается после зимней спячки, деревья ещё не опушены листвой, но в низинах уже зеленеет первая трава. Глаза разбегаются и одновременно отдыхают, наслаждаясь красками и формами. Хочется просто молчать и смотреть...

Elbrus, of course, is grandiose, but the surrounding spaces are also interesting for us. As they say, "the retinue makes the king'", and, in some extent, this is true, although, the Caucasus is amazing in whole due to fact that there is no one "the most beautiful point" here. Or "the most beautiful gorge". Everything is interesting here. I will not say that this is the most beautiful place on the planet Earth ― for me, the whole Earth is very beautiful. But when our guide in conversation used expressions like, for example, "that some gorge is very beautiful, you can go there", after listing a certain number of "beautiful places", we involuntarily had a question: where are the NON-beautiful gorges in the Caucasus? I don't think that it will be possible to find such one.

The Caucasus is a place of amazing power, so, there are extraordinary people living here. And I consider Caucasian cuisine not only the most delicious, but also the most useful in the world (and please, do not think to argue with this maxim, because there are a lot of long-livers among Caucasians, and, in general, they are very healthy people), although, I understand that the concept of "Caucasian" cuisine is very vague. Each region has its own national (sometimes even sub-national) features, of course, I do not want to offend anyone in any way. I'm just trying to say here that this is a unique country with an incredibly positive energy (may the materialists forgive me for such an expression).

You can find below photos taken at the Gum-Bashi pass on the road from Kislovodsk to Dombay in April 2015. Of course, first we were struck by the grandeur of Grandfather Elbrus, but the surrounding valleys deserve special attention. In April, nature barely starts wakes up after hibernation, the trees are not yet leafy, but in the lowlands the first grass is already green. You do not know where to look first, and at the same time you relax, enjoying the colors and shapes. You just want to be silent and watch...
